The directors have over 100 years of combined experience.


Each year we attend over 500 fund manager meetings with existing and prospective funds. All members of the team are generalists focusing on fund analysis & research, due diligence and sales.

Michael

Michael Baines


Michael Baines

Michael was appointed to the board as non-executive Chairman in 2007. He is shareholder and acts as an advisor and counsel across all areas of the business.

Between 1994 and 1998, Michael was Head of risk management and deputy chairman of Robert Fleming Securities where he was also a main board director. In 2002 he became Managing Director of a US$ 3.6 Billion London-based Fund of Hedge Funds business until its sale in 2006. Since 2007 Michael has also been Chairman of Church House Investment Management, a private wealth management firm in the UK.

Over the past 25 years, he has held senior positions in asset management, securities trading and investment banking.

Michael has a BA in History from Oxford University.

William

William Campion

Will Campion (Campo) is founder and Chief Executive of Campion Capital and is a director and majority shareholder.

He spent 17 years in equity derivatives for major European and American Investment Banks. Prior to Campion Capital was Head of European equity derivatives sales at JP Morgan and Head of European derivative sales to UK institutions and hedge funds at Robert Fleming Securities.

Throughout his career Will oversaw proprietary desks trading long/short equities, warrants, options, futures, convertible bonds, credit derivatives, merger and volatility arbitrage.

Will is a Member of the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) register of Investment Professionals.

Rawdon-Jones

Nick Rawdon-Jones


Nick Rawdon-Jones

Nick co-founded Campion Capital in 2003 and is a director and shareholder. Nick is responsible for a number of family offices, endowments and pension funds in the UK and Brazil.

Previously Nick was at Merrill Lynch Private Bank in London working on strategic asset allocation for private clients and spent a short time in Citigroup private bank in London and Sao Paulo.

Nick graduated with Honours from the University of Bristol and is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian. He is registered with the FSA and has the Investment Management Certificate.

William
Maydon

William Maydon


William Maydon

Will joined Campion Capital in May 2006 and is a director and shareholder. Will is responsible for distribution of funds to a number of wealth managers, family offices, pension funds and multi-managers in the UK, South Africa and Switzerland.

Will started his career at Wise Speke (now part of Brewin Dolphin). He spent ten years managing private client, charity and trust portfolios – working closely with lawyers and accountants.

Will graduated with Honours from the University of Newcastle, is FSA registered and has the UKSIP Certificate of Investment Management, Level 3.

Magnus Graham

Magnus joined Campion Capital in February 2012, bringing extensive experience in specialist asset management distribution.

He is a director and is responsible for spearheading discretionary wealth management sales. Magnus spent over 10 years at Martin Currie where he was instrumental in building their intermediary sales business.

Magnus was previously a British Army officer, serving with distinction in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and a graduate of Glasgow University. He is FSA registered and holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Edward Bradley-Norman

Ed joined Campion Capital in 2004 as part of the firm’s analyst scheme and was appointed Head of Research in 2009. He is both a director and shareholder.

His specialist areas of expertise include asset allocation for pension funds and endowments, along with quantitative research on hedge funds.

Edward graduated from the University of Oxford in 2004 with MA Honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and has prior experience in wealth management, proprietary trading and risk analysis. He is also CAIA certified.

Tom Strange

Tom joined Campion Capital in September 2008 as an analyst and as of September 2010, he has been heading up the operational side of the firm. Tom is responsible for the day-to-day operations and accounts of the business. He is also a shareholder in the company.

Tom has previous fund management experience with Hill Osborne Stockbrokers and holds the Chartered Institute for Securities & INVESTMENT (CISI) Certificate in Investment Management Level 3.

Tom graduated from Newcastle University in 2008 with a 1st class honours degree in Business Management, having been awarded ‘Most Outstanding Graduate’ on the Business Management Degree Programme.

Emily Tassi

Emily is the Office Manager at Campion Capital in London. She manages the firm’s operations, IT and external relations.

Prior to joining Campion Capital in 2011 Emily worked at an Information Technology firm focused on financial markets where she was responsible for supporting senior Directors.

Liz Goring

Liz joined Campion Capital in June 2012. Our Office Administrator in London, Liz helps manage the firm’s operations, IT and external relations.

Prior to joining Campion Capital, Liz worked for a boutique executive search company that specialises in the luxury industry where she was responsible for research, client liaisons and support for the MD and senior consultant.
